Bar’Lees is a unique wine and whisky bar in the heart of Mamaroneck Village, offering a sophisticated
and comfortable means to explore and enjoy wines and whiskies from around the world, paired with
gourmet, small-plate fare.
We have over 400 wines and 120 whiskies from which to choose. With selections from some of the best
known producers in the world through to our favorite boutique family-run vineyards, our wines start at
$9 per glass ranging through to $2,000 a bottle for a cult-Napa Cabernet or first growth Bordeaux.
Our extensive whisky list covers the range of smokey, light, rich, and delicate brown liquors from
the traditional regions in Scotland to new world areas of the US and Australia, to name a few, and
run from $5 to $50 per serve. We also have a signature cocktail list that is sure to tempt featuring
top-shelf liqueurs with fun names that imbibe a Manhattan flavor.
The name Bar’lees originates from Western Australia, where the founder Colin Goundrey grew up
on a family winery. Meaning “time out” it captures the essence of relaxation and comfort that Bar’Lees
exudes.
Colin, now a Larchmont resident, is partnered by André Cohen, a French Wine Master who also lives in
the town, and together they bring the old and new worlds of wine to life.
To complement any of your beverage selection, the food menu offers small plate fare as well as
something a little more substantial like gourmet pizzas, slow-cooked prime rib paninis, and an
assortment of entrée-sized meals. Home-baked desserts and specialty truffles are another menu
special. The menu changes regularly depending on the season and the imaginative creations of
the Bar’Lees chef and partner, Kelly Corcoran, a New Rochelle native, who is also a Larchmont
resident today.
We also boast an impressive stone-walled wine cellar built among the foundations of the 1850s
circa building on the Avenue. The cellar holds some 11,000 bottles for use on-premise as well as
storing wines for a private clientele.
